I have a drawer full of old t-shirts that I am overly attached to and can't manage to give away. I should make a t-shirt quilt, but I'm not that great at sewing. So, I decided to try my hand at making a pillow with one of these old t-shirts. Plus, it gives me a reason to use some of that left over stuffing I used to make my
cat amigurumi.

T-Shirt Pillow from Showboat T-Shirt |
I cut rectangle pieces out of the fabric, using safety pins to hold the pieces together so I could cut them evenly. Then I placed the pieces outside in with the lace in between. The side of the lace that you want out should be toward the middle of the pillow.
 |
Place the lace facing down and in between the fabric. |
When you get the corners fold the lace over itself and inside toward the middle of pillow.

Corners with the lace |
Place the other fabric piece and stitch around. I held it altogether with safety pins to make it easier to stitch.
 |
Pieces inside-out with the lace between, safety pinned together. |
Leave a spot open while stitching around. Flip it right side out and stuff it. Then sew up the open bit and you have a lacy-edged t-shirt pillow.
Note: I am terrible at sewing, but this is a project even I could make.
